Junk Removal Service – Scope & Responsibilities
Our junk removal service is designed to assist homeowners, real estate agents, and property managers in preparing a property for sale, rent, or clean-out. We efficiently remove unwanted items, debris, and non-hazardous materials from inside and outside the home.
Homeowner Responsibilities:
- Identify and Separate Items:
- Clearly mark or separate items that are to be removed from those that should remain. Our team is not responsible for deciding what stays or goes unless instructed explicitly.
- Items of value or sentimental importance should be removed by the homeowner prior to the junk removal appointment.
- Provide Access:
- Ensure access to all areas of the property where junk removal is required (e.g., garages, basements, attics, yards).
- Ensure that pets are secured, and walkways are safe and clear for the team to work efficiently.
- Hazardous Materials Disclosure:
- Inform us of any hazardous materials or safety concerns. We do not handle items such as chemicals, paint, oil, asbestos, or biohazardous waste.
Junk Removal Team Responsibilities:
- Removal of Approved Items:
- Our team will remove only the items that have been identified or approved for removal by the homeowner or authorized representative.
- We handle furniture, appliances, general household junk, yard debris, and light construction materials (drywall, wood, etc.).
- Safe and Respectful Handling:
- Items will be removed with care to avoid damage to the home’s walls, floors, or other surfaces. However, we assume no responsibility for damage resulting from the removal of oversized or tightly fitted items.
- Loading and Hauling:
- We will load the items into our truck and haul them to the appropriate disposal or donation facility. Recyclable and donatable items will be handled accordingly when possible.
- Cleanup (Light Sweep Only):
- After removing the items, we will perform a light broom sweep of the cleared areas. This does not include deep cleaning, vacuuming, or sanitization.
Important Notes:
- We are not a cleaning service or moving company. Our team is not responsible for organizing, rearranging, or staging the home.
- All removals are final. Once items are removed, they cannot be returned.
- Large or specialty items (pianos, hot tubs, safes, etc.) must be disclosed prior to the appointment for safety and equipment considerations.
